Plaques and Memorials

A blue plaque is a permanent sign installed in a public place in the United Kingdom and elsewhere to commemorate a link between that location and a significant person, event, or former building on the site, serving as a historical marker.  The Nubian Jak Community Trust has partnered with individuals,  organisations and local councils to install over 100 blue plaques and black plaques and three memorials across the UK since 2006.

See our drop down menu for the various listings of plaques and who the notable individuals were.
